Larry Morrow, a native of Houston has been performing music for twenty five years. His education in the music field includes attendance of TSU's Summer Jazz Workshop, as well as private instruction from two Berkley School of Music graduates. Larry graduated from the Navy School of Music in 1982 , then finished his time in the service in Europe, where he toured eight countries playing in the military band. After leaving the military band, Larry toured with a number of groups and performed in twelve different states from California to Florida, with the Landslide band and the Los Tipos group. Los Tipos was voted the "Best Latin Group" in Houston two years in a row.
Larry is a great teacher because he was a great student. He was very hungry for musical knowledge, studied very hard to achieve a working knowledge of music theory and how to apply it to his instruments. He loves to teach because he enjoys seeing his students get excited about learning. His greatest ability is to motivate students with his excitement and knowledge of music. He also communicates well with children and adults. He inspires his students to work hard on their instrument to build confidence in their playing.
He currently released a CD titled "Quintessence" and is available at Success Music Studios.
He has given his talents to Success Music Studios for 14 years.
